18 months or so ago we were wrestling with the identity of the full height entrance lobby at Fabrica. It was classy, high quality, functional and impressive in its scale. But missing the element of fun and the “moments of wow” that we love to introduce into every Mission Street building. The (simple but challenging) brief? “Let’s have more fun!”

We considered a number of different interventions with the team at Oberlanders Architects and we’ve adopted a few of them. Along with the incredible atrium staircase, these floating meeting pods above the entrance lobby (some enclosed, some open balcony) are my absolute favourites.

We were able to see them free of scaffold for the first time in a while today and we are so excited to see this part of the building come to life in form, finish and colour!
