A Celebration of Science
Last week, Mission Street was privileged to host colleagues, investors, guests, and friends, at our Celebration of Science, including the topping out of Fabrica, the second innovation building we’ve delivered in Oxford’s West End.

Joined by Minister of State for Science, Research and Innovation Lord Vallance, we thought we’d mark the milestone the traditional way, honouring the natural world by placing a tree on the Fabrica’s highest beam.
This was a very special moment for our team. The ceremony brought together remarkable people with a shared vision for the Oxford’s West End and its role in world-leading research and innovation. We are especially grateful to Prof. Constantin Coussios OBE FREng FMedSci, Pro-Vice Chancellor for Innovation at University of Oxford, Jim Naismith, Head of the MPLS Division, Gordon Sanghera, Co-Founder of Oxford Nanopore Technologies, and Oxford University Innovation for bringing together an investor showcase that included pitches from Albus Health, FlexSR Limited, Infinitopes, Macrocosm, Nucleome Therapeutics, Orbit Discovery, Oxford Cancer Analytics, Oxford Semantic Technologies, Porpoise Power Limited, Serox Limited and Yellowstone Biosciences.

Together with Inventa - the first phase of this development and the largest of its kind in central Oxford - Fabrica will be the home of companies that will push the boundaries of science and technology.
